I got scammed on ebay trying to buy a plasma TV. I did manage to get the guy arrested. But I never saw my money again. Small consolation. I will not buy anything on ebay unless it's of small value and wouldnt' be too distraught if I lost my $20.

There are scammers everywhere and I have had to learn the hard way to be suspicious of everyone I do business with, taking measure to protect myself. I will no longer wire money anywhere unless it's to someone I know well. I would recommend everyone do the same as well.

I've been lucky... in all my years of buying online I have only been scammed once. That was early on, so maybe I've been more careful because of it. I know losing $340 dollars to a scammer ain't much, easpecially here in the NSX forum, but it was enough to teach me a hard lesson.

did it ever occur to anyone that unless the car was stolen and in that person's possession, it wasnt going to effect the owner of the car in any way.....

thats great that he wasnt people to recognize that this guy was a scammer, but he personally wasnt being harmed. I dont understand why they are bidding on the car is they know that its a fake, and that the real owner HAS the car.....

did anyone think that he could of just wrote the vin down wrong when he took it off the car... i mean all it takes is a 5 to be an 8 or a 1 to be a 7 and it changes everything...

I tend to use ebay less because of this kind of stuff...try the comparison site Tunermarket.com....... they're vendors are certified and their pricees are usually at or better than ebays.

yea when buying a car online always be able to go see that shit before you bid. Because then you know what you are getting into. And if the guy is scum you can beat the s*** out of him.
