But I don't want to slip my clutch to launch...
I keep reading that the fastest launch requires clutch slippage and is a good chunk of a second. Do people do this in the stock class and if so are they just eating through clutches?

I guess to be competitive, you do? Also realize it's not a drag race launch. You have about 10 feet to build up to speed before the timing lights start. |

the s2000 takes a beating on the clutch.. for autocross i have to drop clutch at 8000 to 8500 rpm.. :eek:

Ask anyone dropping your clutch at 8000rpms compared to 4000rpms is not going to make up 1.5-2 seconds on an autocross course unless the course is like 10 seconds long. |
