this depends on the class you want to run...if you upgrade the suspension it usually moves you up to a higher competition class

we've got a lot of experienced autocrossers here that can help you

looking at his sig, he's already in SM. get some Ground Controls with custom rates and some Koni Yellows!!!

dumb question, but should I move up to FSP from STS if I were to Ground Controls since they aren't mounted the same way as regular springs?

How are the not mounted the same way as regulars Springs? Most Honda's that I know of have Coil overs from the factory if you have added Ground Controls all you have done is add an threaded sleeve and adjustable mounting point, but if you kept the stock top hat you should be able to stay in STS.

I don't think that is correct. Ground Controls are a basic spring setup on standard shocks and since coilovers are allowed in STS GCs should be as well.

Definitely the easiest class he could run in (Not calling SM easy). How much time does this car see the street? I'd say if it is mostly a street car you consider spring rates between 350 and 400 lb/in

what swaybar set up are you currently running and how much do you care about street ride comfort?

for mostly street driving id go with a swaybar set like suspension techniques and go with a set of tokico illuminas/bilsteins/koni's with 350f, 350-400r spring rates.

if you are mainly using this for autox/track days id say go with a stock si front swaybar and a comptech rear bar, with rates of 400-450f and 500-600r. its going to come down to driver preference and also ability to handle a car that likes to get a little tail happy. if you drive normal on the streets you will have no problem, but if you drive agressively on a daily basis, be careful of lifting throttle or braking around sweepers.
