Suspension -Autox
wanted to gear suspension towards auto x applications, suggestions appreciated =D

this depends on the class you want to run...if you upgrade the suspension it usually moves you up to a higher competition class
we've got a lot of experienced autocrossers here that can help you |
looking at his sig, he's already in SM. get some Ground Controls with custom rates and some Koni Yellows!!!
|
dumb question, but should I move up to FSP from STS if I were to Ground Controls since they aren't mounted the same way as regular springs?

I don't think that is correct. Ground Controls are a basic spring setup on standard shocks and since coilovers are allowed in STS GCs should be as well. |

 you are right. I was thinking of stock class  but he is in STS not stock class. My bad :D |
what swaybar set up are you currently running and how much do you care about street ride comfort?
for mostly street driving id go with a swaybar set like suspension techniques and go with a set of tokico illuminas/bilsteins/koni's with 350f, 350-400r spring rates. if you are mainly using this for autox/track days id say go with a stock si front swaybar and a comptech rear bar, with rates of 400-450f and 500-600r. its going to come down to driver preference and also ability to handle a car that likes to get a little tail happy. if you drive normal on the streets you will have no problem, but if you drive agressively on a daily basis, be careful of lifting throttle or braking around sweepers. |
