Default 87 Integra LS -vs- 88 Civic SE

Hi guys. My name is Mike and I'm a noob  I'm currently in the market for a good winter beater/daily driver and figured I'd ask you experts for some help. I currently have the choice to choose between a 1987 Integra LS (sedan) and a 1988 Civic SE (h/back) ... both of these vehicles are the same price. Please help me decide on which one is the better choice ... below you will find some info on both.

1987 Integra LS

    1989 Civic SE

Any help or opinions are much appreciated. If anyone also knows of common problem areas to look out for on either car, that would be of great assistance as well. BTW, what motor comes with the Civic SE (I know, I'm clueless). Thanks again.

      Mike

Depending on the mileage on the Civic... but it does seem like the better of the two... how much are you looking to spend exactly?

Both cars are roughly $1000, which is the price range that I'm looking to pay. BTW, edited the post to add the mileage of the Civic (d'oh). Come on guys, share your expert advice and wisdom with me ... I've got to make a decision shortly! Thanks.

First off, I'd like to thank those who replied. I ended up going with the '88 Civic. It's a 1.5L that runs amazing for the 220,000kms that are on it (although the body leaves something to be desired). In the end, the Integra owner seemed too shady for me and the fact that the underneath of the 'teg was rotted to hell turned me off of that car. I managed to pick up the Civic for $800! After a HUGE cleaning job, the car looks great (other than the rust) ... it has a few minor bugs to work out, but other than that it seems like a whole lot of car for the money. Thanks again.
