Default My QB conundrum

Okay so my QBs are Brad Johnson, Joey Harrington and Tommy Maddox. I play two of them in any given game.

Week 1 I played Johnson and Harrington, because Johnson is on Tampa which has an overall solid offense and Detroit was playing Arizona so I knew Harrington would most likely light em up.

Johnson threw 238 yds, 2 td and 1 int for 15.52 points in my league, Harrington threw 195 yds, 4 td for 23.70 pts and Maddox threw 160 yds, 3 td for 22.40 pts.

I would have gained a few points playing Maddox over Johnson but I still wouldn't have won. But now I dunno who I should play for week 2.

Baltimore's D isn't that scrubby and Pittsburgh has money receivers so I'm thinking this week's game wasn't necessarily a fluke with Maddox. Thing is, they're playing KC week 2 so you know they're going to get lit up by KC in the scoring. KC's D sucks though so it's entirely possible Tommy could have another big game.

The Bucs are playing Carolina which is by no means a good team so Brad should put in another solid (if not amazing) performance.

Detroit is playing the Packers who aren't great but they're not exactly the Cardinals either.

So uh...who to play? I don't think any of my guys will have a bad game but I'd like to pick the two of em who score the most points for me.

Definitely play Maddox. KC has no defense, and a good offense will expose that real fast.

Dont underestimate the Panthers D...they actually look like theyre going to have another solid year. Theyre really not that bad...good enough to give BJ problems if hes not on.

I would play Maddox and Harrington, personally. Rogers looked awesome, and hes just going to get better every game. He'll get more looks as weeks go by because quite frankly he makes Harrington look better than he is.

KC/Pitt is going to be a friggin shoot out. Maddox by the air, Holmes by the ground. You cannot go wrong. Carolina has a surprisingly good defense. Their front 7 is descent and good enough to hold TBs mediocre receivers back. However, Johnson is a smart QB and is rare to make mistakes and has a lot of poise. Harrington has a lot of talent to throw to in Charles Rogers and it seems like they had a good tandem going in week 1. I say, take the risk and play Maddox and Harrington

This is a conundrum. None of these guy's are proven big time QB's. But I think the sure bet here is to go with Maddox. Because if he could do that to the Raven's D...him, Ward, and Burress are going to have a field day. Harrington is definitely a more explosive QB than Johnson.....But Johnson doesn't make to many mistakes. Harrington's throwing to Carlos Rogers...but on the flip side Jurevicius had a big game....which might take some pressure off Johnson. But I say go with Harrington and Maddox. I'll be playing Jeff Garcia and Drew Bledsoe.

Wow I'm totally ****ed on WRs. At the moment I have Isaac Bruce, Rod Gardner and Wayne Chrebet. Which is to say, Issac Bruce and a couple of scrubs.

Coles clearly is the go-to guy in Washington and Chrebet has never been a big playmaker so neither of those guys is gonna do me much.

I have Jimmy Smith sitting on my bench because of his stupid suspension, and Brian Finneran (who I had starting over Chrebet) is injured for like 6 weeks.

The guy I'm playing this week had the second-lowest score in the leage week 1 so hopefully I can still pull it out. I put up the 5th best score.

My roommate from last year has Joey Galloway sitting on his bench so I sent him an email about a possible trade. Not sure for who though.

You should easily be able to give up one of those QBs for a solid receiver, depending on the scoring in your league. Galloway would be very nice.

Gardner actually might turn out to be a quality #2 or #3 receiver (if your league requires 3WR starts). Coles and Ramsey are hooking up nicely, but Gardner has made some big improvements, and with his size/strength, he may get more looks as teams realize Coles is no joke.

Chrebet is worthless. Finneran was 50/50 this year, now hes worthless as well. If Brunell continues where he left off, week 5 will be a NICE week for Smith.

Bulger loves Bruce as well...hes his #1 target. As long as Bulger is in, Bruces #s will be higher than with Warner.

How is the free agent pool in your league? There are TONS of good WR this year...finding one on free agency shouldnt be too difficult. Who are the top free agents? Lotsa sleepers this year...
