Default Reading Comprehension problem

Im trying to read the first chaper in my Cultural Geography book.... and i find that after ive read a few sentences, i totally forget what i read, or i cant pull the page together and make sense of what ive read. Unless i read it over and over, i dont remember it.....

What can i do to improve this? Its just so boring, and uninteresting to me.... if its something i want to be reading im fine.

hee hee, omg. i do that too. i'll be reading some book/textbook for class and then after i get to the end of a chapter i'm like what was that all about and i can only remember like 1 small insignificant point out of the whole chapter if i'm lucky. i think it depends on your interest with the material. with other stuff, i can just glance at it and almost remember every important detail.
