not to put a burden over your heads but it WILL be alot sooner than that...

at the rate we are consuming crude oil, the world has only about 80 years left and United States has only about 60 yrs left.

of course this figure will increase as technilogical advances improve, but I don't think it will be another 10 yrs before that happens.

hydrogen cars and fuel cells are beautiful ideas; however, the refining process to create the hydrogen fuel still uses crude oil like petroleum so we are going around in circles..

also, hydrogen fed IC engines store nearly 3 times the amount of energy gasoline does, but requires about 6 times the storage space of gasoline and needs to be stored at about 20 times the pressure... which all equals to a HUGE potential of cars BLOWING UP!!!

majority of power plants around the world still use gasoline powered generators and there isn't going to be a demand for nuclear plants for the next 6-7 years..

so we should alll cross our fingers cause the way it looks, gasoline powered I.C. engines will be a thing of the past sooner than we want!!

heh you believe the oil companies?

sure thats what they'll say, there are reserves in alberta and northen canada that can easily at 100 or more years to that.

I wouldnt doubt if there are large reserves under the siberian tundra, though it will be very difficult to get it.
