Anybody work at Sam's Club??
Anyone know if employees get discounts there? Particularly Part time people?
thanks |
costco dominates all over sams, and i doubt any employee discount as there isnt one at costco
|
i used to work at sams:awais:
the answer is no. actually, its quite the opposite. if there is a discounted item [opened box, closeouts, etc] we were not allowed to purchase it. weird, isnt it? |
my homeboy works at sams club he says the membership is the discount.

:werd: i guess that membership was free, but it should be free in the first place. i swear those dumbass supervisors are always wondering why their sales are slipping.
STOP CHARGING $35 FOR A STUPID MEMBERSIP:mad: |

STOP CHARGING $35 FOR A STUPID MEMBERSIP:mad: I think the quality of merchandise and food at Costco is better than at Sams, though I live closer to a Sams Club so I go there more often. Sam's Club - 6 miles Costco - 18 miles ugh.... |
I used to work there. You watch videos and take some super simple ABCD tests.
No they don't give a discount... they make most of their money from memberships. If you were to actually see how much they LOOSE on products... most things actually have a negative profit margin. And the ones that there is a postive number, it's usually less than 5%. I used to work in claims and then moved to recieving driving the forklifts. Driving them was super fun. It's quite amazing how quick they move and how much they lift, in comparison to me. :p |

Also, check sales records in the store if you can. My friend got his hands on a copy of a monthly sales report [dont ask how:D] and the retail markup is way higher than the 5-8% the they would claim. |
