way to much money to make a slow car almost fast, when you already have to pay more than 15,000 for a new one to begin with. what do miata's do stock, 16's? What will it do after the kit, 14? woohoo 14's, yawn!!! There are so many cars out there that are alot faster than that and streetable. I guess I just don't see what the big deal is.

GAHHH miatas aren't drag cars, nsx's aren't drag cars, why must americans constantly judge a car by it's quarter mile time or it's 0-60, miatas are made to be small light weight and manueverable (like for those of use that like to auto-x maybe)

15's from the factory, 20k.

but then again i've never even seen a drag race in real life, so i guess i dont see wha the big deal is.

i live my life 25-35 seconds at a time, depending on how many cones there are.

BEAV-
when most people build a car to make it go faster, quartermile times is what is used to determine how fast a car is. Really when your driving through cones how capable are you of opening up the throttle and really using the power that you have if you have a built engine? I've never auto-xed before, so maybe you can help me out with this one. If it were me, i'd concentrate on my cars handling capabilities before making it more powerful. But like I said, i've never auto-xed before, so maybe you can inform me about this one.

most auto-x's that i race in are so technical that there is no section to really open up on the throttle, so suspension, weight distrubion, chassis, and suspension are key power, just helps

power means a lot in autoex, a few seconds here and there...but it also means you have to teahc yourself to handle the power...not the case with drag. anyone can stomp and shift.
