For you Golf Fan's...

So, I've been to the driving range twice in my life. Seperated by almost a year. Last time I went was the day before yesterday.

Today I played my first real game of Golf, and played 18 holes.

I came up 17 over par.
Seems pretty bad to me, but my friends told me I did good. *Shrug*.
That ish is fun, hard as hell though. I need more practice controlling my strength.

17 over and it was your first time!? Good lord Tiger.

That's not bad for a first round. Kirk's lucky to shoot below 17 over par and he's been playing for a while and works at a course :p

Jk Krik :fawk: :p

*shrug*.

My problem was strength. Since I can't hardly tell how hard I should and shouldn't hit it, club choice is absolutely essential, and since I've never played before - club choice was crappy. So I overshot most of my shots.

*shrug*.

I probably just got lucky I guess, although, 17 over par seems pretty damn crappy to me.

It's not so bad man, really. Keep it up, you'll get hella better.

Where'd you play?

Unless he played at an executive course :squint:.

17 over par is awesome... expecially for your first time out. I mean, look at tiger at teh masters... he shot 4 or 5 over the first round didn't he? And he's the best... I wish I could shoot 17 over consitantly

:bs:

unless it is mini-golf there is no way you shot a 17 over the first time out EVER. i shoot mid to upper 80s and i've been playing about 10 years now. i don't even buy you breaking 100 the first time out no way.

i don't care who you are you don't walk out and shoot sub 90 your first time ever.

/edit

unless you forgot to add the front 9 to your back 9 score.. then maybe i'll buy that.

I'll believe it. The first time I played I was 12, and shot 8 over for 9 holes on an executive course.
