I think you're missing the point.

They don't have to be long retorts, just hold some substance. Nothing here has had any substance or valuable material for probably two years. :chuckles:

i'm guilty w/ the whole 'short reply' stuff. i mostly stick w/ the funny threads and hit it up w/ an "lol" or the like.

threads that deal w/ somewhat more meaningful topics tend to get messy so i usually try to keep my distance.

I was cyber-stalked a while back, so it knocked the wind out of my online self. I became a lot more reserved after that. I tend to type and delete often. : /

I don't see how I do that... but its def not my intention. I can definitively say that often enough I have hard time conveying my thoughts so maybe what I post is taken as repetitive. If you guys would rather I do not mind posting in the "touchy" subject threads... I'm ok with that :dunno:

Or maybe you can call me out on it... cause really I think there's some misunderstanding somewhere.

Here is my thought - people live a different persona behind a screenname and live this non-filtered e-life in which they can post their true and honest (and lies too) opinions whenever and however they feel. Thats fine and dandy but when I meet you, and its happened, and you dont say a word and dont come off like the person you're perceived to be online, then you're a fraud to me. I believe this stems into the 'lack of intellectual conversations' because everyone wants to be a jokester, a cuddle bitch, something that they feel comfortable at being labeled with and that hinders ones ability to actually add quality input.
