do you have anything that's tax deductible? (i.e. student loan interest paid) the tax you pay depends on a lot of things.

they take 33% of my income cuz i live at home, 30% if i was on my own, though rent is a right-off.

youll proly go home wiht 31-35 at the end of the year.

hmm.. i'm thinking more than 35.

Fujiwara Takumi 05-15-2003 03:02 PM

i make um 13k this year already, and they took 3500 :(

so...26.67% right off the top.

it used to be 33% when i was younger.

and since he makes more they will take a little more than they do from me. but basically in a year he would be left with 36.5k under my tax rate.

I propose a flat tax.

It's only fair.

its not fair:
5% means a lot more toa family making 10k a year compared with one making 100,000 a year.

my dad's is 49.9% but his accountant got a lot craftier tihs year, he said he has made more money this year than any other year in his career, and payed less taxes than any other year since he's been in business :(

RB 05-15-2003 03:12 PM

its punishing people for making more money. some people actually avoid getting a raise because it will put them into the next tax bracket and they will end up making less money.

progressive tax rates are NOT fair.
