It's my girls 20th birthday today. She worked late last night so it gave me a chance to surprise her a little. I baked a cake...well....the best I could, and wrote her a poem. Check it out:

My Birthday Girl

As you read this little poem that I’ve put together for you
I want you to think about the number two
You may ask yourself, “Well, where does this apply?”
It took less than two minutes for you to catch my eye
It was two eyes that met mine and melted me down
It was two hands that eased me and took away my frown
It was two lips that met mine and started my new world
It was two people’s love that made our little girl
It was two arms that hugged me and made everything better
It was God’s two hands that brought us together

Now this poem may seem long
But it doesn’t stop here, though
I want you to think of the number zero.
Cause without that little number behind good ol’ number two
I couldn’t write this “Robbi’s turning 20!!” poem for you
Laugh if you must, but this comes from the heart
On to another year, I bet you can’t wait to start
And even though you feel older and may find some grey
I’ll be there to tell you, “I like it better that way.”
Though we just got started on our path to growing old
I’d like to tell you from the bottom of my soul….

…In the last year of your life you’ve changed my whole world
And it wouldn’t be the same without you as My Birthday Girl.

Then I got a couple glasses with some Martinellis (she's pregnant) with candles all over the house. I left her cake on the table with the good ol' 20 number candels lit up. I put on her favorite song too and waited for her to get home. It was great. She was very pleased. I thought I did pretty damn good : patsback:

 

Wow.. I am very impressed. You almost made ME cry.. I can't imagine what your girlfriend will do, especially with the pregnancy hormones.

My gf's past b-day she turned 25.... so I bought 3 packs of 10candle box's. I bought one of em as the trick candles ... got home and realized they were ALL trick candles... thought what the hell... put on all 30 candles.

The kitchen was so full of smoke we were opening windows and doors and the candles were relighting up again.... oh it was fun. She had a great time with it.

20 and pregnant has gatta be hard though. Good job on giving her a good day! :thumbup:
