One thing I keep thinking about is when Cobb is getting chased around the town and he squeezes through a tight wall at some point. That whole sequence seemed like a dream.

2) Maybe that's how he learned to only have your own totem. The top could also be a remembrance of sort, so he can always have something from Mal even though she's dead.

3) :werd:

4) Hmm good point. If Saito died in Level 3, that may or may not have given him 30 years to age. Though the time stretch from Level 3 to Limbo was never explained. It was also implied that Cobb had been traveling for a long time in search of Saito, which is why he washed up all disheveled and stuff.
The dream-physics involved are shaky. There are too many unanswered questions to really draw a real conclusion and I find certain things particularly messed up. The major thing for me is how easily it is to join someone mid-dream vs how it is never utilized. It's a Gordian knot of a movie with no real end as many things are circular.

I can say multiple reasons for both sides, in or out of limbo.

I mean, Saito could have died naturally in limbo for all we know.

In the film's first memory of the kids, they're doing the exact same thing and wearing the same clothes as they did at the end. Could it be that Cobb never actually left Limbo? Because it would be impossible to have a memory at the start of something happening in the present.
I was curious about this when I was watching it. How much time (real world) had passed since his wife killed herself. Cuz they make it sound like he's been separated from his kids for a while, but they're only like 3 and 5 years old.

Possibly. There's also a big problem with Mal/Dom's top. Too many people know how it is supposed to work, so how is Dom supposed to know when it's working or not?
