what happened: yesterday i downloaded a web developer add-on for firefox to let me see css codes of websites.

when it was installed, it recommended that i update my flash player so i said ok.

so i installed it, and now flash player just crashes. youtube, vimeo, facebook, etc. not working.

i tried installing an older version, which let me play youtube, but not facebook.

what the FUCK

 

never mind, i uninstalled it and got flash 10.0 in and it's working.

Before they released Flash 10.1 as a final build, Adobe suggested doing a clean uninstall of any previous version of Flash (including the ActiveX control you probably have in your IE) before installing the 10.1 Release Candidates. So you might be able to get 10.1 working if you do the uninstall. They provide a file here that should do the trick: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Otherwise if you don't care about using your GPU to accelerate streaming video than you can just stick with 10.0 and be fine.
