Finally got it working.



Back to playing with my new toy... it was a bad Win 2k cd.

Grrr... I tried installing an old game... corrupted the damn thing...

Dammit back to fixing it... sometimes I feel so stupid.

So I had to reformat and reinstall AGAIN!!! And the damn thing still acts screwy. It was working just fine and I had to try and install that damn game. Something makes me think the problem is not just the Win 2k cd.

Groan now I gotta check my PS and then possibly return the board coz I've exhausted all options.

Sounds like a case of flaky hardware to me. I assume that when you're installing, you're using the latest stable drivers from the various component manufacturers.

updated the BIOS on the MB? and any other add-in cards with a BIOS?

My brothers system I built for him was very unstable until I upgraded the BIOS on the MB and the SCSI card. :doh: should have done that before building the system :chuckles:

BIOS is updated.

Getting the latest drivers... I did change the video card and lets see what that does.
