not a bad price for that. if space is an issue and ur not much of a gamer i'd go for it :thumbup:

I said nay and if you wait you can get it cheaper than $500.

the 18" is an older model with low contrast ratio and slow reaction time.

Low contrast ratio = dim looking screen and can't reproduce black very well.

slow reaction rate = ghosting when playing game or watching video.

I went with the 19" Dell LCD.

for 500, i say no.

i got same thing 2 months ago for 451 shipped.

couple weeks ago, it was selling for 384 + tax.

next month, :dunno: how cheap it'll get.

as far as performance, i really have nothing to compare it to. rick swears the 19" is way better and it's probably true. my previous monitor was some cruddy samsung 15". so this dell 18" blows my old monitor away.

I would get this instead of the Dell 18" it's costs more but for good reason and if you wait I'm sure there will be a sale plus a mail in rebate.

I got the 19" planar for $648.
