Default It's tax refund season...

Anybody expecting a refund this year? I qualify for a $2,500 tax credit this year so I'm looking to get about $4k back from federal and $300 back from state

For those of you who bash refunds, stfu.

I should be getting something back -- I've been playing with my deductions the last couple of years to try and get only a little back, but haven't gotten it figured out yet. My tuition and new car taxes are deductible, so that'll help me get something back.

I've found that the IRS withholding calculator helps quite a bit. Plug in expected revenues, credits and deductions, and it will tell you the right amount of exemptions to take so you end up not oweing or overpaying.

I haven't gotten all my docs yet. Last year I got like $2400 from federal if I remember correctly. Probably less this year since I sold my condo and also didn't withold from one of my bigger paychecks h:
