Default Lowbrow's house build thread

Well, I guess it is my turn for my house build thread. I don't have the floor plans online right now, but I'm working on it. It is basically a 1500 sq ft single story house with a 24 x 24 two car garage. As of right now, I've cleared my lot, and have the foundation in, but framing should start later this week.
This is my lot from the back, this is basically just half of it, where the trees get thick at the front, it continues towards the road. It is abou 0.68 of an acre.

My driveway up from the road to where it will turn into my garage.

The secret lot clearing weapon.

They wouldn't let me run it...

The following two trails are behind my lot on a farmer's land. They are basically just walking / 4wheeling trails

A big hole in the ground

And the poured foundation, not backfilled.

More to come in the following weeks.

Pimping!!!

Why the separate basement setup? PLEASE tell me you are putting in a pit area in your garage :x: and that's why you have a "basement" to your garage.

Thanks guys, and as for the garage, I actually took the pic before they filled it back in with soil, so it will actually is just a regular garage, with the 6 inches of concrete. I'd love to have a pimp garage, I'm hoping someday to add on a bay - and put a lift in there - that would own.

That's awesome! So are you actually involved in the construction (ie swingin' hammers and whatnor), or are you just "supervising" the contractors? Either way, pretty sweet.

Do houses typically have basements in your area? I personally love the "free" extra space you get with a basement.
