Try selling and buying at the same time.

Congrats on the buying process. I hope it works out for you. In this market I'd definitely call the shots. Get them to repair that foundation or take the cost off the price of the home. I also just bought a home and holy hell, it was the single most pain-in-the-ass thing I've ever done. But it was worth it. We were selling and buying at the same time so the crap was compounded pretty bad.

If we were all rich, the stress would be nil when buying and selling houses.

A lot of things would be less stressful. Except when you lost a few million because the market dropped a few points that day. That might be a little stressful.

The system if effed up though. Too much damn bureaucracy in the home buying process. And too many damn leaches sucking dollars out of you. Title fees, processing fees, title insurance (I know what this is for but is it ever actually used?). Half of it they don't tell you until the end. I could rant all day about it. I swear I'm gonna live in the house I have until I die just so I don't have to do it again.

Hahahaha, I went through fucking hell to get my loaned approved two years ago, even though I had a good job and a nice credit report. I won't have a problem next time though when I buy another house.
