we've got a week before we leave for australia. spend about a month and a half there. come back to okinawa, turn all our shit in, and standby to go home.

 

Obvious first timer you are. You haven't learned yet that deployments rarely if ever end as scheduled

so far we've been on schedule with everything we've done. thailand and phillipines. australia should be no different. just not looking forward to the 12 day boat ride there.

only thing i can see happening to keep us here longer is if north korea gets real stupid and starts something.

im going back to 29 palms. the only shooting going on there is done by us in the desert.

it's weird, i hated the place when i first showed up. but i've grown to miss it. :hsd:

lucky. one of my best friends is going to okinawa in august, to stay there as possible backup for afghanistan. :/

just talked to my friend in iraq yesterday. said he's not doing anything and doesn't know when he's leaving. can't be very fun.

 

My cousin was promoted to CPT yesterday. He should be back form the sandbox in August.................... I hope
