Angels & Demons made $60.4 it's opening weekend. :ugh:

I don't get how people decide what movies they're gonna go see.

I think the biggest reason is the audience combined with the holiday weekend and the economy.

Families with kids tend to stay home for the long weekend, saving money, etc. Staying home means going to the movies. Terminator has a strong hold on the young male (16-36 years old) crowd, many of which were off doing things this weekend.

Basically, holiday weekends for families means "Let's go see a movie!". Holiday weekends for younger males means "let's get out of town and do something!"

Could be that. Or it could be similar to my view, in that I just don't really care about the Terminator series any more. The plot lines have gotten so distorted and contrived that it just isn't keeping me engaged.

they lost my interest after the last one. horrible stab to the franchise. McG said he did parts of this current one in homage to Cameron. Im curious on what he did to pay tribute.
