Terminator Salvation
seriously?!
that's just ridiculous.
Angels & Demons made $60.4 it's opening weekend. :ugh:
I don't get how people decide what movies they're gonna go see.
Bale was also beaten at the American box office by Ben Stiller with his Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian which made $53.5 million in three days, according to distributor 20th Century Fox.

Families with kids tend to stay home for the long weekend, saving money, etc. Staying home means going to the movies. Terminator has a strong hold on the young male (16-36 years old) crowd, many of which were off doing things this weekend.
Basically, holiday weekends for families means "Let's go see a movie!". Holiday weekends for younger males means "let's get out of town and do something!"
I think McG has something to do with it too :chuckles:

Could be that. Or it could be similar to my view, in that I just don't really care about the Terminator series any more. The plot lines have gotten so distorted and contrived that it just isn't keeping me engaged.
they lost my interest after the last one. horrible stab to the franchise. McG said he did parts of this current one in homage to Cameron. Im curious on what he did to pay tribute.
