Default More math help v. Piecewise functions

Can anyone help me with this crap?

I can't figure out the pattern.

p(-5),p(-3),p(-2),p(0),p(3), and p(5)
{5 x<-3
f(x) ={x^-4 -3<x<3
{2x+1 x>3

wtf, that is incomplete
whats p(), a function? where is it defined?
im taking a guess here and saying the function is actually p(x) where
p(x)=5 if x<-3
p(x)=x^-4 if -3>x>3
p(x)=2x+1 if x>3

and you want to know p(-5), p(-3), p(0), p(3), p(5)

but this function isnt defined at -3, or 3 so you must have forgotten an = sign in there somewhere

that said p(-5) satisfies x<-3 so p(-5)= 5
p(0) satisfies -3<x<3 so p(0)=0^-4=0
p(5) satisfies x>3 so p(5)=2(5)+1=11

im guessing they are also going to ask if it is continuous, and you need to know where the = signs are to check that

meh, write more complete questions so i dont have to guess

exactly what I was thinking.. but p() needs better definition.

how someone states the problem tells you alot about how much they actually understand what the hell is going on

obviously there are some key concepts here that are not understood, and not just piecewise functions, but functions in general

hahahahha, while responding to this post i hear "all i need is a big cock in my ass", eyedea & abilities - two men and a lady

p() <-- if u turn this clockwise 90deg, it looks like someone about to dip their nuts into an open mouth h:
