The ultimate Bacon Roll! v. my turn :yumyum:
 
So I made my Bacon roll tonight and HOLY HELL!!!! First bite is pure ecstasy!

Ingredients:
10 strips of Maple Thick cut bacon

Homestyle Potatoes
1 Russet Potato
1 Tbsp. Rosemary
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
5 grinds of Black pepper
1 pinch of Dill weed

Potatoes:
-Cook potato in microwave for 5 minutes.
-Dice potato into small cubes
-Add 1-2 Tbsp. butter to pan.
-Put potatoes and seasonings into pan and cook til desired (crunchy in my case)
-After done, set potatoes aside

Weave your bacon on the pan!

I used a cast iron skillet to keep the bacon flat.

After the bacon is almost cooked, cook some scrambled eggs in left over bacon grease:

Bacon shrinks a LOT! But stays together. The cast iron skillet really helps a LOT! BOOYAH!

Put Eggs, Potatoes, Cheese on bacon. (I forgot to take a picture with the cheese on)

Rolling the bacon was moderately hard. I used the 2 knife system and it worked like a CHARM! Place Cast Iron skillet on the roll to keep it from unrolling while the cheese melts it all together.

My review:
Holy mother of god that first bite is pure HEAVEN! The rosemary and dill weed really makes the dish earthy, and the bacon isn't too salty at first. After you start to devour the roll everything starts to go awry. The high sodium kicks in, the acid reflux, and if you get up too fast the onset of nausea. I think it might have just been that it was HUGE and too much bacon (Dare I say that?!?!). I think a 3x3 is the max size to keep it appetizing . Will I make it again? NOPE! The thing was a bitch to flip, NOT healthy, and SUPER messy and a lot ot clean up.
