so i noticed that my computer has two "system" process
1. "system"
2. "system idle process"

What is the difference - why are they both running at 50% - i tried google and the system idle process seems pretty normal but having a hard time finding info on the other as the word "system" in searches are usually linked to the idle process.

reason why i ask is that the computer starts running like shit after 1 - 2 days worth of use.

I'm not sure. According to a few threads on PC forums it's probably some windows process running at full blast.

Google "system task manager process" and a ton of stuff comes up. Looks like people have had this problem.

 

i've had problems with "svchost" ..


what kind of computer you using? multi-core?

 

intel core 2 - 6400@2.13 ghz - 2gb ram - its the work computer - trying to figure out what is the matter with it before i kick it a few times and tech says restart - when it doesnt even shut itself down.
