Contact Lenses v.I'mAContactLensVirgin

So I'm finally taking advantage of the great insurance coverage my work provides and getting contacts.

I'm tired of wearing my eyeglasses during crazy activities (sports, driving events with my helmet, working on cars, etc etc) so I finally made an appointment tomorrow to get some contacts.

I'm kind of nervous. Its still awkward for me to just put in eyedrops.

Any heads up/brand advice/etc would be great!

don't get lazy. clean them every day, take them off before you sleep, and wash your hands before touching your eye.

its common sense but people get lazy :hs: .. then you get pinkeye, irritation, even sometimes the contact lens seems to not want to come off your eye cause its too dry (when you sleep) :nervous: ... they make better ones these days but i still wouldn't sleep with them if i were you.(haven't used contacts in about 4 years .. laser eye surgery ftw.)

Find the best way to put them in. My best friend and I laugh at how the other puts them in, but our ways work for us in our own way.
If you fall asleep with them in, you'll wake up to a gray world. Don't freak out, it wears off. Take them out and wear your glasses.
Do your best to take them out when your eyes feel as though they're just tired of having them in.
If you can't tell if the contact lens is backwards, place the lens on top of the crease between your palm and your pinky. Cup your hand and make the lens bow. Choose the side where the cup bows the best.

I have tomorrow off. o:

Maybe ask your eye doctor to show you how to tell if it's backwards. Plus... If it's backwards, it tends to slide around when you blink.
