Maybe it just happens with some wireless systems and electronic devices. I used to know a guy in World of Warcraft who would suddenly discconnect out of nowhere and not come back for like 3 minutes then when he did he would say "Sorry, someone was using the microwave" Apparently that would cut off his wireless signal

I haven't checked recently but N is still in Draft not yet finalized.

if you can try buying a small UPS and putting the wireless router on that.
if it fixes the problem great, if not return the UPS

Aren't the 4 channels actually all in the same spectral band, IE frequency channel? I thought the spectral effciency of N was through the roof :dunno:

They all can.

I don't know if they all, if any, allow a mix mode 5GHz/2.4GHz setup- I'd bet they don't so I'm guessing that all B/G mixing is lost if you go to 5GHz

:edit2:

Check the power coming from the wall when your A/C goes on... have someone force it on when you're watching the socket with an A/C Voltmeter

:edit3:
I'm on a roll- you might want to also check the DC voltage coming from the wallhog in the same way

I had an original first-gen WRT54G crap out on me a couple years ago. Lasted about 5 years. I then bought a cheapie Belkin to replace it because I didn't feel like spending the extra 15 bucks for another WRT54F. It's been completely trouble-free.

I get interference from my cordless telephone, the transmitter/base is about in the middle of the house. I think I'm going to have to locate the phone base at one end of the house and the wireless router at the other end...

When I turn my stereo amp on the lights flicker...but then it continues to play for 15-20 seconds after I shut it off too.

Changing the channel on the router should help. I can't imagine that the 2.4GHz band around your house could be crowded

And your amp sounds fairly decent h:

i have one on my pc/tv/dvr cause around here, the electric company is notorious for having "dirty electric" where the power level goes up & down & it played havoc w/ my directv/tivo unit especially. i went to best buy & bought one of the geek squad brand ups w/ line conditioning & i haven't had a single problem since
