how do i get a door that won't open.. open?

my back drivers side door won't open. it's been like this for a while, but i'm selling the car, so i figure having all the doors open might help it sell.

the handle on the inside and out won't like move at all, the outside one looks like it is stuck out a little bit. the lock won't move either.

I would say pull the door panel off and take a look. But that is usually a pain/sometimes impossible without the door being open :o

yeh, that's the problem..

there are four screws that can't be reached when it's shut.

Take the front fender off, un-bolt the door, take the inside panel off, fix the problem.... profit?

it should work.. i think?

seriously, if you can remove the inner door handle, there should be a rod that you can pull to release the lock.

if not, youre probably fucked :o

Rear door, so that won't work.

Can you access the hinges with the front door open?

If not, gonna have to pry it open somehow.

well it's the back door. i was lookin' at the hinges when the front door was open, but i don't know if i really want to attempt taking the whole door off. and also, if the latch is like locked onto the .. whatever the part that it latches onto .. then i don't know if taking the door off would help that much.

yeh, i don't think that i can take the handle off or anything. i've been fuckin' around with the two front doors a lot these past couple days because i'm putting the stock speakers back in and i don't think i'll be able to do anything without opening the door.

i have my power cable running underneath the trim shit, underneath the door as well. i was able to pull the two sets of speaker wires out with the door closed, but i don't know about the 4ga.

If you can't access the hinges, maybe try a slim jim?
