some ideas for vacation in September...
My wife and I want to go somewhere for our one year wedding anniversary in mid-September this year. We can't afford what we spent on our honeymoon last year, so Hawaii is out. I don't think we can afford to spend more than maybe $1500. :hs:
She mentioned going out to San Diego since her grandparents live out there anyway so we could stay with them for free. I've never been to California so that would probably be cool. We also considered going down to Florida to visit my family for a couple days and then taking a short cruise. Any other ideas?

Too bad you didn't ask 2 days ago. British Airways was running a 1 way to Europe for $281.
San Diego is nice, and September is a great time. LOTS to do. Also, if you want to get into the Zoo or the Wild Animal park for free let me know (I can get 2 people in when I go with them.)

Negatory. She no want to go to Canada for our anniversary. Sowwy. :hs:
We took a driving vacation in Canada in late September early October, drove along the lakeshore and St. Lawrence and up to Nova Scotia, then back through Maine, NY...

So...any other suggestions? We've been looking at San Diego but I'm not sure what all there is to do, so the wife isn't sold on it. Any hotels or condos that you guys recommend in particular? This would be about a 6 day trip. Also, I found out that my wife's grandparents live in Coronado, California. That's pretty close to San Diego right? :hs:
