So this morning on the way to work, I'm in the fast lane and a black 98 civic dx hatch is merging onto the freeway. We're going about 75 and he loses it (car equivalent of a tank slapper) and slides to the fast lane and back to the slow lane and smashes into the guard rail spins around and hits it again.

Air bags deployed, both are semi-conscious.

Jay pulls over (first one on the scene) and I run to the driver who's kinda awake kinda not.. assess the situation and because the car is in the middle of the freeway, I decide it's better for them to be out.. The guy can't get his bearings so I unbuckle him and cradle carry him to the shoulder. Then I go for his girlfriend in the passenger seat.. she's about the same as him with minor cuts from shit flying around in the car. I assess her situation and she's stable, so I unbuckle her and carry her to the shoulder as well. I call the cops and other people stop to help. The CHP arrives and he and i chat it up a bit and he asked me to move the car. The tranny is busted so I "steer" the car while the cop pushes me with his squad car.

All is well and I just wanted to share my semi-hero story for the day.
