I could, but the benefits of the 80gb make it worth more to me IMHO -
1. Better controller
2. Save the $ on the hard drive
3. Includes a $50-60 game
4. no need for USB hub
5. Backwards compatibility for games that my ancient PS2 won't play anymore.

So, those 5 things are worth $100 to me.
