Breakin the law breakin the law
Long story, bank titled the car in my dads name instead of mine, lost title. Found title, went to register, inspection certificate had expired, went home. Forgot :wtc:
We get a letter as well, see above
.
So, this morning I transferred the title into my name so they could release it to me, got new plates.

Damn, you guys have it rough if you forget about your tags. My office-mate let his tags laps for 6 months -- he was moving when they came due and the mail reminder never made it to him. His wife got pulled over, and all she got was a $93 ticket and no points.
Ouch.
Ouch.
secretary of state offices handle all vehicle related issues, back in the day the only way to renew plates was in person at a SOS office. there was no internet renewal or mail renewal, i dont know if we can even mail renewal now?
but anyways, i live in a town small enough we didnt have a secretary of state, the nearest one was about 30 - 40 minutes away during the summer when the ferry was open. otherwise you had to drive all the way around the lake through 3 other towns :hs:
