gps + psp = gpsp

http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/blog/wp.../psp_gps_3.jpg Okay, so this is now almost released, but at the Game Developers Conference, Sony had a PSP running its GPS package. Interestingly, it perhaps demonstrated the limitations of the system in that the location was kinda but not exactly correct - the booth was underground so we’re guessing not in direct contact with GPS satellites required for a precise fix - the site was Howard Street not Jefferson. However there were a bunch (7) GPS-supporting games that had been released in Japan on view, including Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops Plus & a couple of golf games. (And by the way, the reason you can’t see the GPS top-mounted aerial in the photo is this is a devkit PSP.) |
i would totally use my psp as a gps system. as long as it worked correctly.

I'm guessing there's a dash mount kit (car charger, antenna, map disc, and holder) on the way too.
I <3 multi-function machines. |
interesting, i might actually buy a psp now.

Eh... There isn't much reason for me to get one, other than gps and videos. I can play games on my DS. For 200 I can get a real GPS thing onsale.
