never been a hugh mac fanatic, but those look interesting

overrated.

I wouldn't bother. It will go down in history alongside the G4 cube as a niche (nee failed) product.

The remote drive setup is a royal pain in the ass and between the two, your money is much better spent on a fully loaded 2.2Ghz MacBook.

The only appeal IMO is the optional solid-state drive, but the price premium is nuts.

1st gen SSDs ftl.

I'm going to waste my money on a MacBook instead.

On principle, I don't like paying a premium to be a beta tester for any first-gen tech.

$1800 for 1.6ghz, 2gb ram, 80gb hd, wireless-n, and bluetooth?

so from the replies, i'm summating that is a no on the buy :squint:

Very slick, but lack of upgradeable ram or hdd, no replaceable battery, and no optical drive means it doesn't work as an only computer and limits its use for business travelers.

ranked pretty wretched on a couple of performace tests from some PC magazine, forgot which one. battery life seemed bleak, too
