I am interested in seeing it but more like in an "I can wait for video" kind of interested.

The previews are far too reminiscent of Blair Witch type of viral advertising that it actually makes me a bit less enthused about paying 10 bucks at a theatre to see it.

When you say better, do you mean that the storytelling is more thought out and clever or do you just think sci-fi/"monster"/apocalypsy stuff is better than witchcrafty stuff? I can't help but think it's sooooo similar.

Blair/Clover: spooky "witch" you don't see/terrifying "monster" you might not see.
Both movies: first person perspective; amateur video style; terrified, confused people who may or may not have snot running down their noses; and no real resolution except that perhaps everyone dies.

I'm not implying it's bad. Just wondering if it's worth the ridiculous cost of a movie ticket these days...
