Mac User's Battery Issue
 

So... long story short
I have a powerbook G4 from 2004. the battery life was crazy. 5.75 hrs on a single charge when it was new. with the powersetting on Normal.
Everything was good until batteries started to explode... So i sent mine in for a new one..and after the recall, apparently Apple has stuck us users with shitty replacements. I was looking at getting a replacement from apple, but started reading the product review

So what happened to the awesome battery that apple used to give us way back in 03-04 ?
Apparently the battery problem continues w/ the current generation of macbook pros...

Macs are still awesome computers. But this battery issue is preventing me from upgrading my powerbook...

Any mac users like to shine in on this subject?

Apple has had battery issue for a long time. This is one of the reasons why there are so many bad aftermarket apples batteries. Everyone clones the original Apples ones but because they are bad to begin with all the after market ones are also bad and no one wants to spend another 100k to redevelop the battery which still doesn't guarantee that it's good.
