i haven't even really considered the northwest. just didn't cross my mind. i've always wanted to go to whistler, but i keep thinking it will cost more to get there and will be more of a hassle for some reason.

Whistler is ok if you like long lines and lots of moguls. I suppose if you ski it's an ok place but for boarding I was less than impressed until we went heli-boarding and got in some untracked snow.
