Default Wireless Problem #2

I've had a wireless router setup for a few months now, and it's worked perfectly...until about 2 days ago. My brother's computer has a wireless PCI card. It gets signal, but can't connect to the internet. I go in and run ipconfig...sometimes it has no ip, sometimes it does. If I renew, sometimes it will hang and not renew...sometimes it will renew and the internet will work. Then either later on in the day, or the next day, it loses connection then...but always has a good signal.

Ideas????

wireless routers DHCP server sounds flaky. Try rebooting the wireless router, if still having same issue check for a firmware update.

Flushing your DNS is just clearing the cache of internet addresses and shit.
Usually its an automated purge which keeps clearing itself every 24 hours.

next time try this command.

ipconfig /flushdns

I run into this problem every now and then with my vista pc.

That was the command I ran to flush it. I just don't understand why it wouldn't have a connection, and running that command would cause it to refresh the connection.
