I'm shopping around for a DSLR... came across this (Nikon D70s Kit).

Just looks cheap, and sort of sketchy... anyone heard of underbid before?

if you're going that route, don't go cheap.

kit lenses are just fine to start off with. no point in buying a $300+ lens when you have no idea how to use the features that make it better.

the d70's got some really good reviews, going inexpensive isn't the same as going cheap.

... and to answer your original question, i've never heard of underbid.

Yeah, my roommate has the D70, and I really dig it. the kit lens that comes with it is actually pretty good (or so I hear). I also have some other F-Mount lenses I can use from my Nikon FE2.

I'm sick of having to buy film/get it processed/wait a while to see if they actually turned out well.

I just thought this price was odd... all the other kits with the 18-70 are about the same price... but this has more extras.

I agree, I am talking about cameras that come with tons of other junk (bag, X brand flash card, "tripod", ect.

Gotcha... figure that if it's coming with the Nikon DX 18-70MM + DX 70-300MM + 6GB Microdrive... Dunno if that's junk.

I've seen junky ass ones, with no-name lenses and such... that I would not buy.
