Default man i suck at life.

so the cable latch hood on my wife's car always gets stuck open, its no big deal, you just have to push it over before you close it. Well I guess i forgot to do that last night and we're going down the turnpike at like 80 and the fucker flips up tommy boy style and folds backackwards over the roof. fuck. anyone got a 93-95 civic hood?

Damn, your lucky that didn't either blind you, and cause you to hit another car, or even slam in to a car behind you!

Sure the latch is positioned correctly?

Good luck, check the HT classified section.

Yeah the real real bitch is that I spent the last week fixing all the rust on it. patched like 6 different places and wrapped the front few inches in fiberglass. I had it smooth and painted. spent a lot work on it. we need a :shootself: smilie. I guess I'm lucky that it didn't break the windshield or anything else and I didn't wreck.

Happened to me in a '69 Thunderbird. I'm glad you didn't get hurt. Could have been a disaster. :hs:

That happened to my 85 plymouth horizon but I was only doing 35-40 mph. When I got home I found it rather amusing lol.

at least no one was hurt.

(again, here's another gripe about socal and its questionable car owners...)

just this morning, i saw one of those old 70's toyota trucks that people use to pick up pallets and cardboard from alleys and what-not spew out a bunch of trash on the freeway that spread out through all 5 lanes.

at first there was a big traffic pile up, then you saw all the debris everywhere, then low and behold you see the truck with the junk pulled over on the shoulder

just dont follow or be near cars that look like pieces of crap on the freeway.

i guess my rant is relevant because if someone's hood that flew at my car on the freeway, i'd be pretty upset.

of course, your situation was just an accident, not sheer negligence.
