Default i want to get a section from a dvd

into .avi

how do i do it? h:

i got this program called handbrake, which allows you to select which chapter you want to convert into a .avi, but it only says chapter 1/1, so i dont think the dvd is setup like that.

Maybe you can use dvdfab to break up the dvd into sections.

anyone who pays for a dvd converter has been played big time.

goto www.doom9.org, follow the instructions for converting using GordianKnot, only during the DGindex part use the [ and ] brackets to select the portion you want

It's got a steep learning curve, but after doing a movie or two you get the hang of it. I can setup a profile and run it in less than 5 minutes now and get quality on par with what I used to spend days doing.
