I'm a regular here, and so I do not expect to reach out to members who just joined to have a question answered to which we'll never hear from again, but to those of you who are like me in the sense that you are a regular, I am tugging on your heart strings.

Anyways, my wife drafted me to scout donations for a Breast Cancer Walk she is doing 9/29/07. It is called "Relay for Life of Lake Forest." I told her I would do what I could. I am off to a decent start thus far, with co-workers and vendors, but I figured I'd reach out to this community as well. It is for a good cause and it does NOT matter what amount you donate. It could be a dollar.

With enough people, that could turn into a decent turnout. No obligations ofcourse...

Out of curiousity, why is she doing this? Is she a cancer survivor? Regardless it's pretty cool that you guys are in this.

 

they do a relay for life every year at my school, ive never done it though.

there is also the same sort of thing at the mountain i ski at, you get teams of four or five and ski for 24 hours to see which team can do the most laps up and down the hill. i plan on doing that next year.

 

My sister is doing that walk as well in Boston.

 

She is not a cancer survivor. I pray we are never faced with that, however to answer your question: we're just getting involved and trying to do something good. She feels inclined to run with this cause and I am supporting her interest.
