Did you guys hear about the guy that just got fined $1000 from the state for using vegetable oil instead of gas? Said he was avoiding taxes by not paying the gasoline tax but still using public roads:

edit: I am making a new thread about this.

most states do require a form of payment when you do that ... i know in MI there was a guy who almost got fined because he switched over to vegatable oil ... i mean it kinda makes sense

the state makes the money to keep roads in good condition through the tax on fuel ... people dont use the fuel yet still use the roads ... they should still have to pay that tax everyone else is paying

I read about that, he has to pay $2500 bond to make his fuel plus the state tax per gallon of fuel used or some shit.
