Something interesting I've noticed today...
Weird you bring this up. I was crossing the street near Venice and Centinela (L.A. heads might know where that is) at the huge center divider. Man.... there was a swarm of bees I'd never seen before. If I get stung, I'll swell up nicely, but not as bad as other people I know. Well, for some reason they didn't seem as intimidating as most bees. Is there really a difference between the scouts and the other asshole bees?
Well, since I was curious as to why these bees were lingering about, I did I bit of reading on the whole swarming thing.
h:
The swarming bees tend to be more sedate because:
1) They don't have a colony to defend (yet).
2) They're still following the old queen for the most part.
3) They're carrying stores of honey on their hind legs.
