This time its in the Martial Arts world... and while tae kwon do is a pussy martial art, I totally understand how a hanging garb would get in the way and be a safety violation. Lets see if the Muslims riot this time... :D

Saw that on the news yesterday... I say fuck them, rules are rules.

oh they will get their panties all in a bunch over this as well....

its an obvious safety concern but they will scream discrimination.

well it said she was an 11 year old muslim girl....

and my limited info on muslims includes that the girls arent allowed solitary time with a boy nor physical contact

note thats why i said "i think so"....that means im not sure but its what i think.

i have to admit i am not too sure about this one... it's all about balance and it seams that more and more sport federations are now taking this to a new level... They competed before with the hijab and never had a problem but now because of the Soccer incident they are changing the rules. and really what are the dangers involved... soccer is different, the ref is not always seeing the players, while in this tournament i would guess the ref is always supervising both combatant.

But then again, the rules were changed before... the question is are the rules good? were they changed for the right reasons?

I can see this becoming bigger problem and dividing alot of people. and the media loves reporting these "Accomodation Raisonable" stories.

maybe they always wanted to change the rules but were afraid of it causing a problem but after the soccer thing they felt they could :dunno:
