I really wish I could provide the link that compares Hillary's (and tons of other politicians) voting record to a static grid with coordinates of left or right political leaning against a scale of statist to anarchist. It was an informative link that shows she's a slightly left and little bit more statist than center.

Hillary is way far left Epoch, you may not notice simply because you are even further left and live in a utopian world of your own.
McCain used to get a lot of respect for me. I felt like he was someone that was willing to stand up for the redeeming ideas within the republican party... and then he jumped in bed with the mainstream of the republican party.

Way far left of what? A Freeper? She's a left-leaning centrist. She voted for the war, repeatedly for PATRIOT act, against the cluster munitions act, voted to spend $2bil to make a huge fence across our mexican border. Right there proves she isn't "Far Left". She's about as far to the left as Lieberman is to the right (The only reason Lieberman still caucusses with the dems even though he's independent is to maintain his seniority. His campaign was financed with GOP dollars even).

Live in a utopian world of my own, eh? Have you looked even at what has been coming down from the capitol these days? Expect to hear a lot about the "Hatch Act" these next couple days....

But yeah, you're right, I'm moderately left, and I don't think Hillary is left enough.

Ross Perot FTW. I just assume he's running every year.

+1
I wouldn't vote for McCain today, I would've 4 years ago. Basically, McCain has showed that he's willing to kowtow to right wing elements in order to gain the presidency, instead of being honest with what he believes.

Also, Hillary most definitely isn't far left wing. Far left wing you're starting to talk about hippies and communists. Hillary definitely isn't that far left, and she can't be if she has any hope of being the Democratic nominee.

You know who would be my absolute first choice for President?

Colin Powell.

Second would be John McCain, though I have lost some respect for him in the last couple of years. My uncle was in the same POW camp as he was in Vietnam, and my uncle has an enormous amount of respect for the man.

Unfortunately, those are the only 2 Republicans I have any respect for right now, and Powell has said he won't run and McCain is unlikely to win the nomination. That means I will *likely* end up voting for the democratic candidate, if only because I can't stand Bush and one of his neo-con buddies is probably going to win the nomination.
