Well I just paid off my credit card today...my report said my balance to credit limit was too high...so it should go up a little bit...other problems were period of accounts open and number of inquiries
how many payments have been late/missed? whats your credit history length?
yup, I've got excellent credit. I've got no credit card debt, and no other outstanding loans with the exception of my mortgage that I just got. I went to a furniture store and got financed no prob. I told the salesman my score and he kind of stepped back for a sec.:chuckles:
your score is an ok score, but pay off all your debt as quick as you can and you score will go up a nice chunck. As long as you can show that you can pay off your debt and you have a good income to debt ratio that is what will boost your score.

what is more important than your actual score is why your score is what it is.
somebody can have a 700+ and only have had 1 credit card with a 500$ limit that they had a balance on for 3 or 4 months. sure, their score is good but most lenders wont take a chance on them because their experience is too limited.
and carrying a zero balance/paying stuff off early isnt always a good thing, you need to have a proven history of on-time payments.
