Dr. Emmett Brown's invention
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A group of scientists have created a portable refinery that efficiently converts food, paper and plastic trash into electricity. The machine, designed for the U.S. military, would allow soldiers in the field to convert waste into power and could have widespread civilian applications in the future... I bet they scale it down to fit in a delorean. |
but will it be able to generate the required 1.21 gigawatts?

Right... was not Dr Browns invention. He bought it, along with the hover kit for the car when he went to the future in the 2nd movie.
