Default Forking Ebay :madr:

I'll try to keep this short. I bought a civic from a friend with a blown head gasket, turns out the engine is shot. I figured I just want to get rid of it I'll just throw it on Ebay. I see the outrageous fees and get lazy so I just tack those onto the starting price of the car. It ends up going for $500, cool, except the fucker never paid. I'm pissed but I see that I can relist it and get credit for my first listing if it sells. So I relist it, this time with a buy it now of $450. I figure someone will want the turd for that. I check the next day and someone has hit the BIN button. Sweet! I go look and the buyer has no feed back, Fuck! Ok well maybe he registered just for this or something I hope. I check back the next day when the deposit was due. "This user is no longer registered" MUTHERFUCKINGSONOFABITCH! :madr: So I get on ebay's live chat support hoping they can reverse the buy it now or something. After about 15 min of explaining, and telling him I'm just going to start using craigslist, they actually refunded the list price. Wewt :hsd:now I don't owe anything for all the bullshit. I'm going to put it on craigslist tomorrow anyway.

The moral of the story is don't bother trying to sell a car on ebay.

Now I check my e-mail and I got a message from the second guy. He's obviously a scammer as you can tell from the very standard scammer e-mail. The real shock here is he isn't from Nigeria.

Hi,
Ok thanks for the response..I am interested though but i want you to know that this item is going to the United Kingdom as thats where we reside to make some sales for the christmas and new year moreso the winter period .so the payment will be mailed out as soon as we finalise this.the payment that will be sent to you will contain the cost of the item some excess funds which you will help me transfer to the shipping agency that will be picking up the item via Western Union as i will be going for the holiday and the payment is signed and combined.so pls email me your full name and address of where you want the payment sent as i am about getting done..Pls responsd asap.
thanks.
Richard.
Happy New Year!!!

you should have used "instant payment required" option.

I'd say craigslist is better for a car anyway since you can list local.

I sold my wrecked 240SX on eBay for $1,000. Guy came to pick it up and bitched, I made him buy it anyway.

I would never use ebay for selling of a car unless I was a dealership.
