the PSP value pack is $249 ... the PSP core system is $199.
A Nintendo Wii (@ Target right now btw) is $249. Screw the accessories and get him the console (comes with 1 killer game).

Oh, I didn't realize the Wii was so cheap. I thought it costs the same as PS3. I'm not sure if he'd like that or not though - he's always had the Playstation stuff...hasn't had Nintendo since Super Nintendo I think.

what about PSP compatability with the PS3?
I hear you're supposed to be able to use the PSP as a controller, and in the new Gran Turismo, the PSP screen serves as a rear-view mirror. or maybe its total bs?
